Dog Toys

Most every dog loves to play, and there are a number of toys available designed to keep them active and playful. These toys needn’t be complicated or expensive, but it is important that you invest in some toys for your dog.
There are several reasons why you should consider toys as not an option, but a necessity. First of all, safe toys are good for a dog’s gums and teeth—especially for puppies, whose teeth are still growing. Stiff, rubber toys are best for this.

Further, if you don’t buy any toys, the dog will have to make due on its own. This can mean destroying items in the house or yard. A toy can keep a dog busy and prevent many of these problems.

In this way and others, toys also act as a kind of training aid. They are very effective at getting a dog’s attention, and the dog’s joy at the receiving the toy can be a powerful impetus for teaching the dog to fetch, lay down, sit, and other commands.

In addition to being highly functional, it is fun to play with your dog. It can be a great experience for you to take your dog to the dog park and throw around the ball for a while, and it can be very effective in clearing your mind. Toys are not expensive, so it might be worthwhile to buy a few and see which your dog prefers.
